Caring for Your Retainer
Proper care extends the life of your retainer and keeps your smile healthy.
Daily Cleaning
Rinse your retainer with lukewarm water after each use. Use a soft toothbrush with mild soap or our cleaning tablets weekly. Never use toothpaste — it’s too abrasive.
Proper Storage
Always store your retainer in the provided case when not wearing it. Keep it away from pets and out of direct sunlight.
Avoid Heat
Never expose your retainer to hot water, boiling water, or leave it in a hot car. Heat can warp the thermoplastic material and ruin the fit.
Wear Schedule
For best results, wear your retainer every night. If prescribed by your orthodontist, follow their specific wear instructions.
When to Replace Your Retainer
We recommend replacing your retainer every 12 months for optimal fit and hygiene. Signs you need a replacement: visible cracks or tears, loose fit, discolouration that won't clean, or an unpleasant odour despite cleaning.
